Overview

D-CMG is a drug regimen combining liposomal mitoxantrone hydrochloride, cytarabine, and decitabine. It is being investigated for the treatment of elderly patients with newly diagnosed Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). The regimen aims to observe dose-limiting toxicity, explore the maximum tolerated dose, and evaluate the safety and efficacy of this combination. Liposomal mitoxantrone hydrochloride is a type II topoisomerase inhibitor and DNA intercalator. Cytarabine is a pyrimidine analog antimetabolite that inhibits DNA polymerase and DNA synthesis. Decitabine is a DNA methyltransferase inhibitor, leading to DNA hypomethylation and reactivation of tumor suppressor genes.
