D-CTL (Dendritic cell-induced cytotoxic T lymphocytes) is an autologous cell-based immunotherapy developed by Shenzhen Hornetcorn Bio-technology Company, LTD. The therapeutic process involves the ex vivo activation and expansion of a patient's own cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) through priming by dendritic cells (DCs) that have been pulsed with tumor-specific antigens. Once re-infused into the patient, these activated CTLs are programmed to recognize and eliminate tumor cells expressing the targeted antigens. This technology was part of Shenzhen Hornetcorn's broader platform for tumor-specific immune cell therapies, which also included ECIK and CAR-T technologies. Clinical investigations for D-CTL were documented between 2014 and 2016 for indications such as hepatocellular carcinoma and non-small cell lung cancer; however, the developer became defunct in 2019, and the program is considered discontinued.
