Drug intelligence / Profile preview
D-Fibroheal Ag Foam is a sterile, bi-layered antimicrobial foam dressing developed by Fibroheal Woundcare. It consists of a silver-impregnated polyurethane foam matrix integrated with silk protein and an asiaticoside complex. Designed for the management of moderate to heavily exudating infected wounds, the dressing provides a dual-action therapeutic approach. The sustained release of silver ions from silver nanoparticles provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity to control microbial growth and reduce bioburden. Simultaneously, the silk protein component promotes fibroblast proliferation and collagen deposition, which helps to accelerate the physiological wound healing process. It is indicated for various chronic and acute wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure sores, and second-degree burns.
