Drug intelligence / Profile preview
D-Fibroheal Ag Particle is a bio-absorbable, topical wound care product developed by Fibroheal Woundcare Pvt. Ltd. It is a composite formulation consisting of lyophilized silk protein and silver nanoparticles (nano silver). The silk protein component acts as a bioactive scaffold that promotes wound healing by stimulating the formation of new granulation tissue and enhancing contact with cellular components in the wound bed. The nano silver provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity through the sustained release of silver ions, which effectively controls infection and reduces the microbial bioburden at the wound site. This product is specifically indicated for the management of moderate to highly exuding infected wounds, including slow-healing or non-healing wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, arterial and venous ulcers, second-degree burns, and surgical or trauma wounds.
