Drug intelligence / Profile preview
D-Touch is a transdermal patch formulation of diclofenac diethylamine developed by Sparsha Pharma International for the localized treatment of pain and inflammation. As a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), diclofenac acts by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase enzymes COX-1 and COX-2, which are responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandins that mediate inflammatory responses and pain signaling. The transdermal delivery system is designed to allow the active ingredient to penetrate directly through the skin into underlying tissues, providing targeted relief for musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis, sprains, strains, and tendonitis. This localized approach aims to provide effective analgesia while minimizing the systemic exposure and gastrointestinal side effects often associated with oral NSAID therapy.
