D. salina carotenoid fraction is a natural extract derived from the halophilic green microalga *Dunaliella salina*. This microalga is one of the richest natural sources of beta-carotene, which it accumulates in large quantities, particularly when cultivated under stressful conditions like high salinity and intense light.
