Drug intelligence / Profile preview
D309 is a drug that contains Testosterone, a naturally occurring steroid hormone. Testosterone is primarily produced in the testicles in males and, to a lesser extent, in the ovaries in females. It plays a critical role in the development of male reproductive tissues and secondary sexual characteristics, such as increased muscle and bone mass, and body hair growth. Beyond its reproductive functions, testosterone also significantly impacts overall health and well-being, influencing mood, cognition, social and sexual behavior, metabolism, energy output, and bone density. As a medication, testosterone is used to treat conditions associated with low or absent natural testosterone production, such as male hypogonadism.
