Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The combination of DA-1241 and sitagliptin is being developed as a potential treatment for Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), previously known as non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). DA-1241 is a novel G-Protein-Coupled Receptor 119 (GPR119) agonist that works by activating GPR119 in the gut, leading to the release of GLP-1, GIP, and PYY, which contribute to glucose metabolism, lipid metabolism, and weight loss. When combined with sitagliptin (a DPP-4 inhibitor), the treatment has shown promising results in preclinical studies and is currently being evaluated in clinical trials.
