Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DA-3803 is a **biosimilar of recombinant human chorionic gonadotropin (r-hCG)** developed for the induction of ovulation and final follicular maturation in women undergoing assisted reproductive technologies. It is produced in Chinese hamster ovary cells and mimics the activity of endogenous hCG, which acts through **luteinizing hormone/choriogonadotropin receptor (LHCGR)** and **follicle-stimulating hormone receptor (FSHR)** to trigger ovulation and luteinization. Phase 1 and Phase 3 studies have demonstrated comparable safety, tolerability, and bioequivalence to the reference product Ovidrel, with similar efficacy in ovulation induction[1][2][4][10]. DA-3803 is used as a single subcutaneous injection and is well-tolerated[1][2][4].
