DA-8010 + mirabegron

DA-8010 + mirabegron is an oral, fixed-dose combination therapy under investigation for the treatment of overactive bladder (OAB). The combination consists of DA-8010, a novel muscarinic M3 receptor antagonist with high selectivity for the bladder, and mirabegron, a β3-adrenergic receptor agonist that causes relaxation of the detrusor muscle during the storage phase of the urinary bladder fill-void cycle. DA-8010 is being developed by Dong-A ST and has shown efficacy and selectivity in preclinical and early clinical studies. Mirabegron is approved for OAB and acts by activating β3-adrenergic receptors to promote bladder relaxation. The rationale for this combination is to target the OAB pathophysiology via two complementary pathways: muscarinic receptor antagonism and β3 receptor agonism, potentially leading to enhanced efficacy over monotherapy for patients with persistent symptoms[1][2][5][4][9].
