Overview
DA-9601 is a standardized botanical extract derived from the flos-leaf of *Artemisia asiatica*, developed by Dong-A ST. The extract is primarily composed of flavonoids, with eupatilin and casticin serving as its major bioactive constituents. It is approved in South Korea under the brand name Stillen for the treatment of acute and chronic gastritis and for the prevention of gastric mucosal damage associated with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). DA-9601 exhibits cytoprotective, anti-inflammatory, and anti-oxidative properties, likely mediated through the stimulation of gastric mucus secretion and the inhibition of inflammatory mediators. Additionally, the drug has been licensed to NeuroBo Pharmaceuticals under the code NB-01 (Lenalmin) for the treatment of painful diabetic neuropathy (PDN), where it has demonstrated the ability to increase nerve growth factor (NGF) levels and promote nerve regeneration in preclinical models.
