**DA3-CH** is a synthetic peptide and a novel dual receptor agonist targeting both the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R) and the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor (GIPR). It is designed to act as an incretin mimetic, enhancing the activity of both GLP-1 and GIP signaling pathways. DA3-CH has demonstrated preclinical efficacy in models of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), showing reductions in blood glucose, blood lipids, pancreatic tissue injury, apoptosis, and oxidative stress. It activates the Adenylate activated protein kinase (AMPK)/acetyl CoA carboxylase (ACC) signaling pathway and exhibits neuroprotective effects in disease models of epilepsy and cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury, notably reducing neuro-inflammation, mitochondrial apoptosis, and neuronal loss. DA3-CH showed superior anti-apoptotic and neuroprotective effects compared to liraglutide in head-to-head preclinical studies[1][2][3].
