dabigatran + idarucizumab

This is a combination of two drugs: dabigatran, an oral direct thrombin inhibitor anticoagulant, and idarucizumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody fragment used as a specific reversal agent for dabigatran. Dabigatran is primarily indicated for the prevention and treatment of venous thromboembolism and reduction in risk of stroke in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. Idarucizumab binds to both free and thrombin-bound dabigatran with high affinity—about 350 times greater than that of thrombin—neutralizing its anticoagulant effect within minutes. The combination is used clinically when rapid reversal of anticoagulation from dabigatran is required due to life-threatening or uncontrolled bleeding or prior to emergency surgery[1][2][4][5].
