Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Dagrocorat (also known as Fagrocorat) is a synthetic small molecule that acts as a selective glucocorticoid receptor modulator. It exerts anti-inflammatory effects by binding to the glucocorticoid receptor and modulating gene expression involved in inflammatory responses. This results in suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and mediators. Dagrocorat is an active metabolite of the prodrug fosdagrocorat and has been investigated primarily for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Its unique structural features include a trifluoromethyl group and phenanthrene core, which contribute to its pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties[3][4][5][8].
