Overview
Dalbergia odorifera extract is a natural product derived from the heartwood of Dalbergia odorifera T. Chen, a medicinal plant widely used in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The extract contains a complex mixture of **flavonoids, phenols, sesquiterpenes, arylbenzofurans, quinones, and fatty acids**, as well as volatile oils with major constituents such as nerolidol oxides and trans-nerolidol. Extracts and volatile oils from D. odorifera have demonstrated **antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antiplatelet, antioxidative, antithrombotic, antiosteosarcoma, alpha-glucosidase inhibitory, antiangiogenesis, vasorelaxant, and prostaglandin biosynthetic enzyme inhibitory activities** in preclinical research. Traditionally, Dalbergia odorifera has been used to promote blood circulation, dissipate blood stasis, regulate qi, relieve pain, and treat cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases[1][3].
