Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Daleuton + D5Di is an experimental combination therapy developed by DS Biopharma (formerly Dignity Sciences) for the treatment of multiple solid tumors. The therapy consists of a 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) inhibitor, referred to as Daleuton, and a Delta-5 desaturase (D5D) inhibitor (D5Di). This dual-targeting approach is designed to modulate the arachidonic acid pathway, which is often dysregulated in various cancers to promote inflammation, cell survival, and tumor progression. By simultaneously inhibiting 5-LOX and D5D, the combination aims to reduce the production of pro-tumorigenic eicosanoids and other bioactive lipid mediators. As of late 2021, the program was in the preclinical stage of development and intended for oral, systemic administration.
