Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Dan Deng Tong Nao dropping pills (also known as Dandeng Tongnao Diwan) is an approved traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Guizhou Yibai Pharmaceutical and its subsidiary Guizhou Yibai Women's Pharmacy. It is formulated as a dropping pill containing extracts from four key herbal ingredients: *Salvia miltiorrhiza* (Danshen), *Erigeron breviscapus* (Dengzhanxixin), *Ligusticum chuanxiong* (Chuanxiong), and *Pueraria lobata* (Gegen). The formulation is clinically used in China for the treatment of ischemic stroke, cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury (CIRI), coronary heart disease, and angina pectoris. It exerts its therapeutic effects through promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis, dispelling wind, and dredging collaterals, which helps improve cerebral microcirculation, reduce cerebral infarct volume, and protect brain microvascular endothelial cells.
