Dan Qi Tong Mai tablet (DQTM) is an innovative traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, specifically coronary heart disease and chronic stable angina pectoris (blood stasis syndrome). It is composed of active fractions of *Salvia miltiorrhiza* (Danshen) salvianolic acids and *Panax notoginseng* (Sanqi) saponins (notoginsengnosides). The formulation was co-developed by the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM), Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Taiji Group. DQTM has completed Phase I clinical trials evaluating its safety, tolerability, and pharmacodynamics in healthy volunteers (conducted at West China Hospital, Sichuan University), and is currently in Phase II clinical development.
