Overview
Danggui Buxue Tang polysaccharide-depleted fraction (DBT-PD) is a research-grade herbal extract derived from the traditional Chinese medicine decoction Danggui Buxue Tang, which is composed of *Astragali Radix* and *Angelicae Sinensis Radix*. By removing the polysaccharide fraction, DBT-PD is enriched with bioactive compounds such as astragaloside IV and ferulic acid. It has been primarily investigated for its potential in treating colorectal cancer, where it induces autophagic cell death by inhibiting the mTOR/p70s6k signaling pathway and upregulating Atg7. Additionally, DBT-PD acts as a chemosensitizer and radiosensitizer, enhancing the efficacy of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) and radiation therapy in preclinical models.
