Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Danggui Yinzi ointment is a topical formulation of the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formula Danggui Yinzi, developed by the Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of chronic urticaria. The formula is traditionally used to treat skin conditions associated with blood deficiency and wind dryness in TCM theory. It typically contains a combination of herbs including *Angelica sinensis*, *Rehmannia glutinosa*, and *Astragalus membranaceus*, which are thought to nourish blood, moisten dryness, and dispel wind. In clinical studies, it is often evaluated as part of a combination therapy with acupoint catgut embedding to improve symptoms and modulate immune markers such as IgE and complement components C3 and C4.
