Overview
DANISCO PROBIOTIC is a brand name for a probiotic supplement. One product marketed under this name is manufactured by Vgas Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company and contains spores of *Bacillus clausii* and *Bacillus subtilis*. [1] It is formulated as an oral liquid and is indicated for the treatment and prevention of intestinal microflora disorders, such as those caused by antibiotic use, leading to symptoms like diarrhea, constipation, and indigestion. [1] It is classified as a functional food or dietary supplement. The developer, Danisco (now part of DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences), has also sponsored clinical research on other probiotic strains for different indications, such as a Phase 2 trial assessing *Lactobacillus paracasei* Lpc-37 (also called Lacticaseibacillus paracasei Lpc-37) for modulating psychological stress. [2, 3, 4, 5]
