Danlou is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation, specifically a Chinese Patent Medicine, used for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease, unstable angina, and acute coronary syndrome. It is composed of ten herbal ingredients: *Trichosanthes kirilowii*, *Allium macrostemon*, *Pueraria lobata*, *Salvia miltiorrhiza*, *Ligusticum chuanxiong*, *Paeonia lactiflora*, *Astragalus membranaceus*, *Alisma orientale*, *Curcuma aromatica*, and *Panax notoginseng*. The formula is designed to address "phlegm-stasis" syndrome by resolving phlegm and removing blood stasis according to TCM principles. Clinically, Danlou has been shown to reduce myocardial injury and inflammatory markers (such as C-reactive protein and IL-6) in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Its pharmacological effects include anti-inflammatory activity via the inhibition of the NF-kappa B pathway, anti-platelet aggregation, and improvement of lipid metabolism. It is manufactured by Jilin Jinsheng Pharmaceutical and has been the subject of several multicenter clinical trials in China.
