Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Danning Tablet (also known as Danning Pian or Biliflow) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Shanghai Hutchison Pharmaceuticals, a joint venture between HUTCHMED (formerly Hutchison China MediTech) and Shanghai Pharmaceuticals. It is primarily indicated for biliary disorders such as cholecystitis and cholelithiasis, acting to promote gallbladder health and alleviate associated digestive symptoms. The drug is approved in China and has also received a Natural Health Product license in Canada. Clinical research is ongoing to evaluate its efficacy in treating dyspepsia, polypoid lesions of the gallbladder, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). As a TCM product, it utilizes a multi-component botanical approach rather than a single molecular target.
