Overview

Danshen + yunzhi is a combination of two traditional Chinese medicinal herbs. Yunzhi (Coriolus versicolor) contains polysaccharopeptide (PSP) that can modulate various immunological functions. Danshen (Salvia miltiorrhiza) benefits the circulatory system through its vasodilating and anti-dementia activity. The combination has been studied for its immunomodulatory effects, particularly in post-treatment breast cancer patients, where it has shown to significantly elevate T-helper lymphocytes (CD4+), the ratio of T-helper to T suppressor and cytotoxic lymphocytes (CD8+), and B-lymphocytes, while decreasing plasma soluble interleukin-2 receptor (sIL-2R) concentration.
