Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Dansi lotion is a topical Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by The Second Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine. It is specifically designed for the treatment of androgenic alopecia (AGA) in patients presenting with the "dampness-heat steaming" syndrome according to TCM diagnostics. The formulation is intended to address the underlying pathological factors of AGA, such as scalp inflammation and excess sebum production, which are often associated with the dampness-heat pattern. In clinical evaluation, it has been compared against 2% ketoconazole lotion to assess its efficacy in improving hair density and reducing symptoms like scalp oiliness and itching.
