Overview
Danzhufuyuan granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation currently under clinical investigation for the treatment of chronic stable angina and coronary heart disease. Developed under the auspices of the China Science and Technology Development Center for Chinese Medicine, the drug is designed to address the TCM syndrome of intermixed phlegm and blood stasis. It is administered orally as a granule formulation, typically as an adjunct to standard Western medical therapies. The formulation aims to alleviate chest pain and improve cardiac function by resolving phlegm and promoting blood circulation, though its specific molecular targets remain characterized primarily through the lens of traditional Chinese pharmacology. A multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial (ChiCTR2200060267) has been registered to evaluate its efficacy and safety in adult patients.
