Dapiprazole

Dapiprazole is a small molecule alpha-adrenergic blocking agent used in ophthalmology to reverse mydriasis (pupil dilation) induced by adrenergic (such as phenylephrine) or parasympatholytic agents (such as tropicamide), commonly administered during eye examinations. Its mechanism of action involves antagonism of alpha-1 adrenergic receptors on the dilator muscle of the iris, leading to miosis (pupil constriction). It does not significantly affect ciliary muscle contraction or intraocular pressure. The drug was marketed under the brand name Rev-Eyes but has been discontinued in some markets due to its slow onset rather than safety concerns[1][2][3][7].
