Overview

A combination therapy consisting of daratumumab, an anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody, and romiplostim, a thrombopoietin receptor agonist. Daratumumab targets CD38-expressing cells including plasma cells that may produce autoantibodies in immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), while romiplostim stimulates platelet production by binding to thrombopoietin receptors on megakaryocyte precursors. This combination potentially addresses both the autoimmune component and platelet production deficiency in refractory ITP.
