DARE-LBT

DARE-LBT is a novel hydrogel-based drug delivery system developed by Daré Bioscience for the vaginal administration of live biotherapeutic products (LBPs). The technology utilizes a thermosetting gel formulation that is designed to be reconstituted at the point of care, facilitating the stable delivery of beneficial microorganisms to the vaginal environment. The primary goal of DARE-LBT is to support vaginal health by restoring or maintaining a healthy microbiome, potentially addressing conditions such as bacterial vaginosis or vaginal dysbiosis. In November 2022, Daré Bioscience received a grant of approximately $585,000 to advance the development of this delivery platform.
