DARE-PTB2

DARE-PTB2 is an early-stage investigational research program being developed by Daré Bioscience for the prevention and treatment of idiopathic preterm birth. Preterm birth, defined as birth before 37 weeks of pregnancy, is a leading cause of neonatal mortality and long-term disability, yet there are currently no FDA-approved treatments for its prevention. The program targets stress response proteins to mitigate the biological triggers of labor. DARE-PTB2 is currently in preclinical development, supported by a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the NIH's National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) (Award Number R44HD113465). The funding is intended to support pharmacokinetic, safety, and toxicity studies to advance the candidate toward clinical evaluation.
