Drug intelligence / Profile preview
darolutamide + goserelin + docetaxel is a combination therapy being investigated for the treatment of androgen receptor (AR)-positive salivary gland carcinoma. This regimen combines darolutamide, a potent second-generation AR antagonist; goserelin, a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist used for androgen deprivation; and docetaxel, a taxane-based chemotherapy. The combination is part of a Phase 2 umbrella trial led by Peking Union Medical College (Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences) aimed at evaluating precision therapies based on molecular biomarkers. By simultaneously blocking the AR signaling pathway at the receptor level, suppressing systemic androgen production, and delivering cytotoxic chemotherapy, the regimen seeks to improve outcomes in patients with advanced or recurrent AR-positive salivary malignancies.
