Overview

Dashamooladi Yamaka Sneha Nasya is a traditional Ayurvedic medicated lipid formulation (Yamaka Sneha) prepared by processing a combination of two fats—typically cow's ghee (Ghrita) and sesame oil (Tila Taila)—with active herbal decoctions and pastes, including Dashamoola (ten roots), Bala (Sida cordifolia), and Masha (black gram). Administered intranasally as nasal drops (Nasya), this formulation is primarily used in Ayurvedic medicine to pacify Vata dosha imbalances. It has been clinically evaluated by institutions such as the Muniyal Institute of Ayurvedic Medical Sciences for the management of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions affecting the upper body, such as frozen shoulder (Avabahuka) and cervical radiculopathy (Vishwachi).
