Overview

DATK32 is a rat monoclonal antibody that specifically targets mouse LPAM-1 (Lymphocyte Peyer’s Patch Adhesion Molecule 1), also known as integrin alpha 4 beta 7 (α4β7). This integrin is a heterodimer composed of the α4 (CD49d) and β7 chains and plays a critical role in mediating lymphocyte adhesion to endothelial cells, facilitating transmigration into extravascular tissues during inflammatory responses. LPAM-1 binds several ligands including VCAM-1 (CD106), MAdCAM-1, and fibronectin. The DATK32 antibody has been shown to block LPAM-1-mediated cell adhesion both in vitro and in vivo, induce aggregation of CD8+ T cell lymphoma TK1 cells, and reduce α4β7 memory T-cells in models of colitis. It is widely used for flow cytometry analysis of mouse lymphocytes as well as for functional studies involving leukocyte trafficking and mucosal immunology[3][4][10]. Preclinical studies have demonstrated its utility in targeted delivery approaches for inflammatory bowel disease models[5][6].
