Overview

DATR is a recombinant protein and multifunctional apoptosis receptor agonist developed by Chengdu Diao Jiuhong Pharmaceutical Factory. It is designed to selectively induce apoptosis in cancer cells by targeting and activating death receptors, specifically DR4 (TRAIL-R1) and DR5 (TRAIL-R2). These receptors are members of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily and, upon activation, trigger the extrinsic apoptotic pathway. DATR has been investigated in Phase 1 clinical trials in China for the treatment of advanced malignant solid tumors, focusing on evaluating its safety, maximum tolerated dose (MTD), dose-limiting toxicity (DLT), and pharmacokinetic profile in patients with refractory or advanced disease.
