Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DAVD0 HER2-CAR is an investigational allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-engineered natural killer (NK) cell therapy being developed by NKGen Biotech. The therapy utilizes off-the-shelf NK cells modified to express a CAR targeting the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2). This approach aims to redirect the innate cytotoxic activity of NK cells specifically toward HER2-overexpressing tumor cells, which are prevalent in various solid malignancies including breast, gastric, and lung cancers. By using an allogeneic platform, DAVD0 is designed to be an 'off-the-shelf' product, potentially overcoming the logistical and scalability challenges associated with autologous cell therapies.
