DAVIDA Omega 3,6,9 is an oral nutraceutical product developed by the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas (CNIC) in Cuba, in collaboration with the Research Center on Proteic Plants and Bionatural Products (CIPB). It consists of extra-virgin Sacha Inchi (Plukenetia volubilis L.) seed oil formulated as soft capsules. Sacha Inchi oil is a rich natural source of essential fatty acids, particularly omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid), omega-6 (linoleic acid), and omega-9 (oleic acid). The product is approved and marketed in Cuba for its nutritional and health benefits, which include regulating lipid metabolism (cholesterol and triglycerides), supporting cardiovascular health, and providing anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.
