Overview

Day Gel-0120 is a combination topical sunscreen formulation designed to protect human skin from ultraviolet (UV) radiation. The product contains two primary active ingredients: ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, an organic UV-B filter, and diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate, a photostable organic UV-A filter. Together, these components provide broad-spectrum protection by absorbing radiation that would otherwise cause erythema (sunburn) and persistent pigment darkening. The formulation was evaluated in clinical trials (NCT05004168) to determine its Sun Protection Factor (SPF) and UVA Protection Factor, using metrics such as Minimal Erythema Dose (MED) and Minimal Persistent Pigmentation Darkening Dose (MPPDD).
