Overview
Dazhuhongjingtian is a traditional Chinese medicine injection (TCMI) derived from the herb *Rhodiola wallichiana* var. *cholaensis*. It is primarily utilized in China for the treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular conditions, including coronary heart disease, stable angina pectoris, and heart failure. The therapeutic profile of the drug is driven by its high concentration of phenylpropanoids, most notably salidroside and p-tyrosol. Dazhuhongjingtian exhibits potent anti-hypoxic, anti-oxidative, and anti-platelet aggregation effects. Mechanistically, it improves myocardial microcirculation, reduces myocardial oxygen consumption, and protects vascular endothelial cells from oxidative stress and apoptosis, often by modulating hypoxia-inducible factors and antioxidant signaling pathways.
