Overview

DB-007-5 is a topical drug candidate developed by Derm-Biome Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD), a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by dry, itchy, and inflamed skin. In preclinical studies, DB-007-5 demonstrated high efficacy in reducing AD-associated inflammation and was more potent at alleviating itch than leading topical AD drugs such as Opzelura (ruxolitinib cream) and Eucrisa (crisaborole). The drug has shown a highly favorable safety profile and may offer an effective long-term solution for mild to moderate cases of AD, potentially redefining the standard of care for this condition. Mechanism of action has not been publicly disclosed as of April 2025. The drug is currently in preclinical development.
