Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DB-029.01 is a therapeutic candidate developed by Digna Biotech for the treatment of pulmonary fibrosis. It functions as an inhibitor of the transforming growth factor beta receptor 2 (TGFBR2). The TGF-β signaling pathway is a central driver of fibrotic processes, including the activation of fibroblasts and the excessive production of extracellular matrix components like collagen. By targeting TGFBR2, DB-029.01 aims to interrupt this signaling cascade to halt or reverse the progression of lung scarring. Development of the compound was discontinued following the dissolution of Digna Biotech.
