DBV1605 is a ready-to-use atopy patch test developed by DBV Technologies for the diagnosis of non-Immunoglobulin E (IgE) mediated cow’s milk allergy (CMA) in infants and young children. The product consists of two distinct patches—one active patch containing a dry deposit of 180 μg of cow's milk proteins and one control patch without any formulation. It is designed as a diagnostic tool to assess sensitivity, specificity, and safety in identifying non-IgE mediated CMA. The mechanism involves topical exposure to cow’s milk proteins via the skin to elicit local immune responses indicative of allergy status. DBV1605 is not intended as a therapeutic but as an in vitro diagnostic device for clinical use in pediatric populations suspected of having non-IgE mediated CMA[1][2][3][6].
