Overview

A personalized cancer immunotherapy that utilizes autologous dendritic cells (DCs) loaded with patient-specific neoantigens. Neoantigens are unique proteins derived from somatic mutations within a patient's tumor, identified through whole-exome sequencing (WES) and RNA sequencing. By presenting these neoepitopes to the immune system, the vaccine aims to elicit a potent and specific T-cell response (both CD4+ and CD8+) against tumor cells while avoiding central tolerance. This approach is being investigated for various advanced malignancies, including small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC) with brain metastasis, to overcome resistance to standard therapies like chemotherapy and PD-1 inhibitors.
