Overview

Pell Bio-Med Technology's DC-CIK cell therapy is an autologous adoptive cell immunotherapy that combines dendritic cells (DCs) with cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cells. This dual-component approach leverages the antigen-presenting capabilities of DCs to prime and activate CIK cells, which are a heterogeneous population of ex-vivo expanded T-effector cells (CD3+CD56+) possessing both T-cell and natural killer (NK) cell properties. The therapy aims to enhance anti-tumor immune responses through both MHC-restricted and non-MHC-restricted cytotoxicity. It is currently utilized in Taiwan under the Regulations of Special Medical Techniques for various cancer indications.
