Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DC-CIK01 is an autologous cell therapy developed by Ever Supreme Bio-Technology, combining dendritic cells (DCs) and cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cells. This dual-component therapy leverages the antigen-presenting capabilities of DCs to prime the immune system against tumor-associated antigens, while the CIK cells (predominantly CD3+CD56+ T cells) provide potent, non-MHC-restricted cytotoxicity against tumor cells. The CIK component typically recognizes tumor cells via the NKG2D receptor. DC-CIK01 is primarily utilized in Taiwan, where it has received approval under the "Regulations Governing the Application of Cell Therapy" for the treatment of various Stage 4 solid tumors, including lung, liver, and colorectal cancers. The therapy is designed to enhance the patient's anti-tumor immunity, potentially improving survival outcomes and quality of life in advanced-stage disease.
