Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DC-preT cell therapy is an autologous cellular immunotherapy being developed by West China Hospital of Sichuan University for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The therapy utilizes a combination of dendritic cells (DCs) and precursor T cells (preT). Dendritic cells are professional antigen-presenting cells that are used to prime the immune system by presenting tumor-associated antigens to T cells. Precursor T cells are expanded and activated ex vivo before being re-infused into the patient. This combined approach aims to enhance the cellular immune response, specifically targeting and eliminating malignant cells in patients who have failed standard treatment regimens.
