Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DCB-104 is an engineered artificial platelet cell therapy being developed by Dewcell Biotherapeutics for the treatment of drug-induced thrombocytopenia (DITP). Utilizing Dewcell's proprietary 'en-aPLT' platform, the therapy is designed to produce standardized, high-quality artificial platelets from human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs). This approach aims to overcome the limitations of donor-derived platelet transfusions, such as short shelf-life and supply shortages, by providing a scalable and donor-independent therapeutic option. DCB-104 is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
