Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DCL-101 is an investigational polyethylene glycol (PEG)-3350 based bowel preparation solution developed by Dark Canyon Labs. It is intended for colon cleansing in adult patients undergoing routine colonoscopy. The formulation is designed to be administered in split doses (3 liters or 4 liters) and was evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials to compare its safety, tolerability, and efficacy against the standard 4-liter GoLYTELY preparation. Like other PEG-based preparations, DCL-101 functions as an osmotic laxative, utilizing the non-absorbable polymer PEG-3350 to retain water in the colon, thereby inducing a liquid stool that clears the bowel for visualization.
