Overview

DCOY-COV is a pan-coronavirus peptide conjugate fusion inhibitor being developed by Decoy Therapeutics for the prophylaxis and treatment of coronavirus infections, including SARS-CoV-2 and its variants. Engineered using the proprietary IMP3ACT platform, which utilizes AI and machine learning, the drug is a Designable Multi-Antiviral (D-MAV) consisting of a peptide chemically linked to a lipid or membrane anchor moiety. It is designed as a self-administered nasal spray that targets the highly conserved viral fusion machinery across multiple human coronaviruses. DCOY-COV has demonstrated broad-spectrum in vitro efficacy against all known human coronaviruses and in vivo activity against the SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant, with a focus on protecting high-risk and immunocompromised populations. The drug is intended to offer 8-24 hours of prophylactic protection while also moderating disease severity when used post-infection.
