DCTRS4-439 is an investigational chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy being developed by Exuma Biotechnology for the treatment of solid tumors. It utilizes Exuma's proprietary Tumor Microenvironment Responsive (TMR) platform to target AXL, a receptor tyrosine kinase that is frequently overexpressed in various malignancies and is associated with tumor progression, metastasis, and resistance to therapy. The TMR technology is designed to ensure that the CAR-T cells are specifically active or enhanced within the unique conditions of the tumor microenvironment, aiming to overcome the challenges of off-tumor toxicity and the immunosuppressive nature of solid tumors. DCTRS4-439 is currently in preclinical development for indications including renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and soft tissue sarcoma.
