Overview

DCvac is an autologous, engineered dendritic cell vaccine developed by the Shenzhen Geno-Immune Medical Institute. It is designed for the treatment of multiple myeloma and plasmacytoma, specifically as a remission maintenance therapy for patients who have achieved a partial or complete response following prior treatments. The therapy involves the ex vivo modification and maturation of patient-derived dendritic cells (DCs), which are then re-administered to the patient. These engineered DCs are intended to present tumor-associated antigens to the patient's immune system, thereby stimulating and expanding a targeted T-cell response to eliminate residual malignant plasma cells and prolong remission.
